The Half day tour is only available as a Private Tour please contacts us by email or phone to check availability and price.
Depart Portree square 09:15 hrs and return around 13:15hrs.
Why not join us for a leisurely half day tour around the stunning and dramatic landscape of the Trotternish peninsula in North Skye. There will be multi stops for photographs and to take in the atmosphere of the area, including the rugged ridge of the Quiraing and the iconic Old man of Storr. There will not be much walking on this tour and would suit the person with limited time.
The tour would leave Portree and head in a clock wise direction towards Uig, the gateway to the outer isles. Before passing through Uig, we would take a short journey to the enchanting Fairy Glen. From there the next place would be the Museum of Island life including Flora MacDonald’s monument. Duntulm castle would be a photo stop. Driving through Flodigarry, where the Jurassic landscape is still slipping to this day towards the sea, we will then stop up on the Quiraing where the views across to the Scottish mainland are stunning. The next stop is Kilt Rock, from there a stop for photographs at the Old Man of Storr and then back to Portree.
We would hope that this introduction to a part of Skye with it’s awe inspiring scenery will leave a lasting memory, and make you want to come back for a longer holiday in the future.
